North Shore Little League

We are pleased to announce that NSLL will be once again offering a chance for our players to step onto a Major League Baseball Field.  Please join us at CitiField on June 2, 2024 to watch the NY Mets take on the Arizona Diamondbacks @ 1:40pm.  Before the game, registered players and selected coaches will be able to participate in a parade on the warning track.  

This year the Mets have provided a link to purchase tickets directly from the team.  Tickets are available at multiple price points and all over the stadium.   NSLL is not involved in the ticketing process in any way.  If families or teams would like to sit together, they must coordinate with each other when purchasing tickets from the Mets.

DETAILS:

• Any coach, volunteer, family member, friend can purchase tickets to watch their NSLL baseball or softball player walk the field from the stands.
• Parade participants must arrive at 12:10 pm when gates open. Specific instructions will be provided prior to the event.
• Participants who walk the field must be 4 to 12 years old and be registered as players in the league.
• Parade is for players ONLY and limited to one coach per ten players. Parents, friends and siblings are encouraged to watch the celebration from their seats.
• Due to the rules of the Mets, only a limited number of coaches are permitted on the field.  NSLL reserves the right to limit parade eligible coaches based upon supervision needs and in accordance with Mets’ directives.
• There is no cost to participate in the parade. However, each parade participant must have a valid game ticket to the Mets game scheduled to be played on the parade date, in order to participate in this exclusive opportunity.
• Each minor must be accompanied to the game by a parent or guardian who is responsible for their supervision during the game.
• This event may be canceled or postponed without notice. In the event the Mets cancel this event due to weather-related or game-related issues, you may receive an email from the Mets directly.
• The Mets reserve the right, at any time, to modify, and/or revise these terms and conditions in its sole and absolute discretion.
• Time, opponent, date and team rosters and lineups, including the Mets’ roster and lineup, are subject to change.

Umpire Training Dates-Rain Update

Due to Rain, FIELD TRAINING at NSLL (Wrigley Field) has been moved from Saturday to Sunday 3/24:

All new umpires and all returning umpires who are moving up to minors should attend at the respective time. (Dress warm)

All times remain the same. You will be notified if Sunday is going to be cancelled.

CLASSROOM TRAINING at Miller Place High School Library - FOR ALL NEW UMPIRES: 

All new umpires must attend both classes, pass the test at the end of class 2 & attend field training.

Class #1 Monday 3/25  6:30 – 9:00pm

Class #2 Wednesday 3/27 6:30 – 9:00pm

Please bring a pen and notebook to both classes.

Registration for the FREE Baseball Spring Training Clinic is closed since all sessions are full.  Baseball players should have received their assigned sessions via email.   If you have not received your baseball assignment, check your spam folders and contact us below if you cannot find the Session Assignment email.  Unfortunately, due to high demand we have no more openings.

Spring is around the corner and North Shore Little League is excited to once again offer a  FREE Baseball and Softball Spring Training Clinic for registered players of the 2024 spring season.  We received enthusiastic feedback for this program after last year's session.  We will once again work on hitting, fielding, running and throwing over the 4 session program.

Location: Miller Place North Country Road School Gym

Session Dates: Sundays 2/25, 3/3, 3/17 and 3/24

Session Times: Baseball A 9:00 am to 10:30am, Baseball B 10:30am to 12:00pm and Softball 12:00pm to 2:00pm

To participate, your child must be registered in the NSLL Baseball/Softball Farms, Minors or Majors divisions for the Spring 2024 season. Participation will be limited to 55 players per session as we have limited capacity at the site.  Due to limited capacity, the Spring Training Clinic will be available on a first come, first serve basis.  For baseball, players will be assigned by NSLL to Session A or B based upon age and division breakdown.  You cannot select a particular session time so please be open to the possibility of either session before registering.  Once registration is complete, you will be notified of your session.  Due to the capacity of the space, parents will not be able to be present in the gym during the session and will have to wait in the lobby or in their vehicles.

To attend, you must enroll online as there will be no walk-ins accepted at the door on the day of Spring Training.

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN ON THE NSLL WEBSITE. 

From your dashboard, click BEGIN REGISTRATION, select Participant and check off clinic as a program.  Save the changes and then continue through all steps to checkout and Submit.  There is no cost for clinic.  If you have not registered for the season or you are not in an eligible age group, your clinic registration will be canceled.

Make sure you have already created a new account on the new website and signed your child up for the Spring season BEFORE trying to enroll on January 28, 2024.  Last year, this popular program was filled within approximately 24 hours of opening. There will be no refunds of the Spring 2024 Season Registration Fee, if you attend any portion of the FREE clinic.
